labels will be put in place. With the help of Jennifer Ogden and Valerie
Angell plus the Outdoor committee of Jean Saint de Sardos, David Shirran, Earl Smith and myself we made short work of clearing and cleaning up the plots for this new season. If you have a chance to take a peek, please do
so. So far two benches and two bird houses made by Earl Smith have been

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Our 2008 season is in full swing. We've been visited by friends, neighbours, members and tourists. We've had a number of groups visit. Our staff is taking everything in stride and we have received many nice comments about them. I was recently away for a couple of weeks and on my return I walked into the museum with fresh eyes. I was very impressed. The exhibits and displays are great, some of them are still being developed. Thank you Marie Sundin and the Collections and Accessions Committee, your group is doing a fantastic job. We are extremely fortunate to have everyone of you working on our behalf.
The gift shop is very impressive - thank you Mary Meagher. We now have t-shirts for sale with the museum logo on them. We've sold a few already. A word about the logo. It has turned out to be a controversial subject. We have been trying to develop a logo for the last two seasons. Penny Ridley, an artist and resident of LaHave, kindly donated her graphic skills to produce a logo for us. Many thanks to Penny. After some changes were made the Board adopted the logo. I have heard grumblings from a number of quarters on the topic. The Board is more than happy to consider changing the logo if someone comes to us with a suitable alternative.
Thanks to Marina Fergeau and her group, the French Garden has seen some changes and is looking fantastic. Five historical panels have been installed on the grounds. thanks to Eric Rafuse and Bob Fulleman for that. Ellen Hunt organized a group to erect the tipi, thanks to all of them. If you haven't been to the museum lately I think you'll be as impressed as I was to see how things are looking.
Over the years our organization has been very fortunate to have so many dedicated volunteers to develop our site into what it is today. A very vital part of keeping our members in touch with what goes on, is this Outlook Newsletter. Edith Wolter has been reliably producing this for us for many years. Thank You Edith for all the time and effort you have put into this project. Edith is making some changes to her lifestyle and has decided it is time for someone else to take care of Outlook. She will remain on the Collections and Accessions Committee, and will continue to be a valuable volunteer and member. We are actively looking for someone to replace Edith in this regard. Please let me or Johanna know if you are interested in volunteering to produce Outlook.
