From Yarmouth, NS to LaHave, NS

DIRECTIONS
From Yarmouth, head East on Highway 103 (Highway 3) toward Halifax. Take Exit 13, and turn left onto Rte. 325 (Victoria Rd.) into Bridgewater. Follow Victoria Rd. to the traffic lights, where the road intersects King St., at the bridge. Turn right onto King St.. Continue along King St. (you should be following the river). King St. will turn into Rte. 331. Follow Rte. 331 for approximately 15 minutes to LaHave. Approximately a kilometer past the LaHave Ferry, follow the blue Historic Site signs, which will lead you left onto Fort. Pt. Rd. The museum is at the end of the point.
Alternatively, follow the Lighthouse Route from Yarmouth, heading toward Halifax. Fort Point Museum is just off Rte. 331 in LaHave.


 

From Halifax, NS to LaHave, NS

DIRECTIONS
From Halifax, head West on Highway 103 toward Yarmouth. Take Exit 13, and turn right onto Rte. 325 (Victoria Rd.) into Bridgewater. Follow Victoria Rd. to the traffic lights, where the road intersects King St., at the bridge. Turn right onto King St.. Continue along King St. (you should be following the river). King St. will turn into Rte. 331. Follow Rte. 331 for approximately 15 minutes to LaHave. Approximately a kilometer past the LaHave Ferry, follow the blue Historic Site signs, which will lead you left onto Fort. Pt. Rd. The museum is at the end of the point.
Alternatively, follow the Lighthouse Route from Halifax, heading toward Yarmouth. Fort Point Museum is just off Rte. 331 in LaHave.

From Bridgewater, head east along King St., towards LaHave (you should be following the river). King St. will turn into Rte. 331. Follow Rte. 331 for approximately 15 minutes to LaHave. Approximately a kilometer past the LaHave Ferry, follow the blue Historic Site signs, which will lead you left onto Fort. Pt. Rd. The museum is at the end of the point.

From Mahone Bay, head west on Highway 103. Take Exit 13, and turn left onto Rte. 325 (Victoria Rd.) into Bridgewater. Follow Victoria Rd. to the traffic lights, where the road intersects King St., at the bridge. Turn right onto King St.. Continue along King St. (you should be following the river). King St. will turn into Rte. 331. Follow Rte. 331 for approximately 15 minutes to LaHave. Approximately a kilometer past the LaHave Ferry, follow the blue Historic Site signs, which will lead you left onto Fort. Pt. Rd. The museum is at the end of the point.
Alternatively, go to Lunenburg and follow the directions from there.

From Lunenburg, head towards Riverport on Rte. 332. Shortly after a white church, turn right onto Grimm Rd.. Follow the Grimm Rd. to its end, where it meets Rte. 332 again on the LaHave River. Follow Rte. 332 to the LaHave Ferry. Take the ferry across. (It costs $5 and leaves the Lunenburg side ever half hour on the :15 and :45.) Coming off the ferry, turn left onto Rte. 331. Approximately a kilometer past the LaHave Ferry, follow the blue Historic Site signs, which will lead you left onto Fort. Pt. Rd. The museum is at the end of the point.

From Liverpool, head east on Highway 103 (Rte. 3), towards Halifax. Take Exit 13, and turn right onto Rte. 325 (Victoria Rd.) into Bridgewater. Follow Victoria Rd. to the traffic lights, where the road intersects King St., at the bridge. Turn right onto King St.. Continue along King St. (you should be following the river). King St. will turn into Rte. 331. Follow Rte. 331 for approximately 15 minutes to LaHave. Approximately a kilometer past the LaHave Ferry, follow the blue Historic Site signs, which will lead you left onto Fort. Pt. Rd. The museum is at the end of the point.
